In most cases, the intervention is performed under local anesthesia, short-term intravenous sedation, or a combination of these two types of anesthesia. The intervention itself is not painful. Pain may occur after the intervention, usually of low intensity, and after the procedure the patient may be prescribed painkillers as a preventive measure.

The hair transplant intervention is completed in just one day, while the exact duration of the procedure depends on the number of grafts being transplanted. The average duration of the intervention is about 7 hours. During that time, the intervention is carried out in two phases, with a break in between for rest and a provided meal. The first stage involves taking grafts from the donor region, while in the second stage, grafts are carried out on the region of hair loss. To perform a hair transplant, you do not need to take sick leave or vacation. You can return to your daily activities the day after the intervention, following the doctor’s recommendations.

Hair loss is a normal and natural process in which falling hairs are replaced by new hairs, but if you notice accelerated hair loss – this is already a sign of a more serious problem. Severe hair loss mainly affects men, who due to this problem can remain completely bald if they do not contact experts in time.

The first stage is the one when there was no major hair loss and then transplantation is done in case of individual desire and need of the client. In men, severe hair loss can last for months or even years, and then you are already a good candidate for a hair transplant. Do not allow alopecia to develop into excessive or complete hair loss, because then the transplant cannot be done, because there will not be enough donor hair. After the hair transplant, each patient receives a corset that prevents swelling, preventive pain medication and a care kit for the donor area and the transplanted hair. If the patient follows the instructions after hair transplantation using the FUE technique with sapphire, there is no reason to worry about the success of the procedure itself. The day after the intervention, the patient comes for an examination and the first hair wash. The gauze on the occipital region (back of the head) has been removed and cannot be put back on. On that occasion, you will receive advice on how to independently maintain the donor region and the transplanted hair.

Care must be taken not to physically injure the treated area during the recovery period (11 days), especially when dressing or removing clothing over the head. Excessive consumption of cigarettes and staying in smoky rooms, use of medicines or cosmetics without consulting a doctor is not allowed. It is also not recommended to stay in saunas or swim in the sea or pool, as well as direct exposure to the sun (or to use protection in the form of a hat, cap, hat, scarf).

You can return to your daily activities after two days. The return to moderate physical activity is allowed after two weeks, while training should wait up to two months.

The second control is 11 days after the intervention, when the remaining scabs are removed. If the patient cannot come in person, they will receive online instructions.

An important note is that the transplanted hair starts to fall out after 14 days, then it stagnates for the next 3-4 months and only after that period it will start growing gradually. You will see the first result after 6 months, and for the final results you have to wait 12-15 months.

Haircut with scissors only is recommended. Cutting with clippers in the donor region is not recommended for the first two months, while you can cut the transplanted hair with clippers only after one year. Avoid using gels, sprays and paints.

Operating rooms are regularly disinfected, each patient receives a new set of instruments at the beginning of the intervention, so the possibility of infection is completely avoided. Our doctors will prescribe antibiotics as a preventive measure. Some patients may experience slight redness due to skin irritation in the head area, which subsides within a few days. Local anesthesia (very rarely) can cause slight swelling of the forehead, which persists for a day or two after the intervention. To prevent swelling, each patient receives a corset and anti-swelling medication. Immediately after the intervention, mild pain may occur, so the patient is prescribed an analgesic as a preventive measure. Slight bleeding in the donor area after the procedure is also possible, and gauze is applied to that area for the first 24 hours. In the first 14 days after the hair transplant, there may be mild itching caused by the healing process.
